blue player plays long pass to blue player in the middle who plays a short backward pass to red. Red then plays directly across to the blue player.
now Red receives long ball from red player then lays a short pass back to blue who plays directly across to Red.
15x15 yds
everytime the pair successfully complete a sequence across they get a point. time them for one minute.
progress to having 2 sets of pairs in at one time.
*coaching points-
1.make diamond shape so all players involved can see each other.
2. crisp firm quick passing

8v3- 2 central attacking players
points are scored for the attackers when you can connect through both central players to another side of the square.
defenders score points by winning the ball and connecting 2 passes or by causing the attacking team to lose the ball out of bounds. no points for kicking it out themselves.

1v1 in each square with nuetral player close to the middle and target players for each team on opposing sides
points for connecting from one target player to another. all passes have to be on the ground and no direct passes from one target to another.
coaching points-
1. early support wide and form 3v1's in the first half of the square.
2. attacking players need to see each other moving ball patiently and quickly to break pressure.
3. nuetral player needs to check shoulder to see if they can turn and play directly through.
4. shield and protect the ball.
