Setup:
- 6 minutes
- 30X50 Grid
- 10 players + 2 Goalkeepers, 10 balls
- 5 red bibs and 5 blue bibs.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
1. Player one from the red team starts by dribbling the ball forward and taking a shot towards the opposing net (with the aim to score)
2. After the shot is taken, player one on the blue team dribbles the ball forward and enters a 1v1 scenario against the opposing player who just shot the ball with the aim of going past that player and shooting on the opposing net.
3. After the 1v1, player 2 (red) dribbles the ball forward entering into a 2v1 scenario with the aim of working with the other player to open up and take a shot on the opposing net.
4. The same format keeps on continuing until a 5 v 5 scenario is reached.
5. If the first round ends quickly, begin the second round with the following progression: If a team scores using a long shot, it will be 2 points, or else a team will receive 1 point.
- When the drill reaches a 2v2, a team is allowed to counter attack if the goalkeeper either catches or parry's the ball.
Coaching Points to Stress
1. Same shooting points as previously mentioned.
2. Focus on shooting in open areas of the net (areas that are farther to reach for the goalkeeper)
3. If you enter into a one on one situation with the goalkeeper, try keep your shot on target simple and do not try to dribble past the goalie.
4. If you are starting a counter attack, ensure that you do not reduce your pace.
5. Challenge players to try different versions of shooting.

Shooting Mechanics / Coaching Points to Stress
1. Get your body in a position to strike 2. Angled approach 3. Non-kicking foot beside the ball 4. Head over the ball 5. Select Surface & Strike: E.g. Laces, inside.6. Follow through 7. Accuracy (and Aim)
Challenge players to strike with different surfaces and aim in different spots,
slowly drip in mechanics of shooting after first 2 minutes, pull better shooters aside or fix a kid's mechanics individually.
Progression 1 : leading pass into zone,
Progression: extra points for shots in corner or different surface
Regression if pass in zone isn't working just have them stop it and lay off for player and have that player take a touch and setup the shot.
