Warm Up (10 mins)

Organization:

1. Open field space

2. Two Players, One ball

Instructions:

1. Player 1 will pass the ball on the ground to Player 2

2. Player 2 will receive with the outside of their foot, turn and take three dribbles away

3. Player 2 will then pass the ball on the ground to Player 1

4. Player 1 will receive with the outside of their foot, turn and take three dribbles away

5. Rotation will continue to allotted time, players should use both right and left foot

Coaching Points:

1. Receive with the nearest foot to the ball

2. Toe down ankle locked

3. Arms out for balance to feel for defender

4. Next action is to turn

Main Theme 1 (15 mins)

Organization:

1. 40x30 field set up as shown

2. Players split into two groups

3. Multiple balls per group

Instructions:

1. Player 2 passes the ball into Player 1

2. Player 1 will receive with the outside of their foot, turn and dribble towards the cone

3. Upon passing the cone Player 1 will shot the ball on goal

4. Player 2 becomes Player 1, Player 3 becomes Player 2, Player 1 becomes Player 3

5. Players will work for 5 mins on right foot, then will switch to left foot.

Coaching Points:

1. Receive with the nearest foot to the ball

2. Toe down ankle locked

3. Arms out for balance to feel for defender

4. Next action is to turn

6. Players will work for 5 mins on right foot, then will switch to left foot.
