Physical Movement Warm-Ups :
Team works through each stage together (A, B & C)
6 cones are placed in a line 2 yards apart, Players switch sides at the end of each run/repetition in stage C, Players complete 2-4 repetitions of each exercise (dependant on time)
Stage A : (Straight Line)
Players run forwards (Jogging 50% speed) to the end of the line, move sides then run backwards to return to the end of the player line. 2nd player starts his run once 1st player reaches 3rd cone (to allow for a little space between players).
Progressions include : forwards and backwards, Sideways, High Knees, Heel-kicks, Skipping

Stage B : (Shuffling)
Players run Zig-Zags through the cones, always facing forwrads (shuffling movement), once they reach the end they then jog to return to the end of the player line. 2nd player starts his run once 1st player reaches 3rd cone (to allow for a little space between players).
Progressions include : Forwards shuffling, Backwards shuffling

Stage C : (Change of Direction)
Players are in 2 lines (Paired up) for a race. Both players infront of each line sprint to 2nd cone, back to 1st cone then race to the end of the cone line, and finally jog back. When 1st pair sprints past 3rd cone the next pair automatically start their race
Progressions include : always facing forwards (North), players begin facing each other and go sideways to cones 2 and 1, then sprint forwards to the end

Technical Warm-Ups :
Passing and Receiving in pairs, working on Receiving with an open body position

Targets Possession Exercise :
2 teams of 8 playing possession to targets (6 targets and 2 central players per team), 20x20 yards area, Blue team plays to targets A and B, Yellow team plays to targets C and D
Once a central player passes to a target player, they rotate positions (Central player becomes target, Target player becomes a central player), Teams get a point for passing to a target
Progressions :
1 - Target player only has 1 touch, must pass into the middle and join centrally
2 - Central players have limited touches
3 - Target players can pass to each other on the outside but only have 1 touch
4 - Central players must play through small area in the middle before going to Targets (No defenders are allowed in the small area), but attackers can only stay in the area for 3 seconds
Coaching Points :
* Open body position to Receive (face your intended Target, scan the field)
* Communication (visual and Verbal, when and where do you want the ball ?)
