Key Principle - Disrupting Opposition Build Up Phase 

What - Trying to disrupt opposition build-up 

Who - #7 #11 #9 and Midfield 3 

When - when the opposition is building up 

Where - In the opponent's half 

Why - because the opponent is playing with 3 central defenders and is making the field big 

Session objective/Team Task -  Can we deny the opposition centre backs the opportunity to play the ball forward 

Player Tasks

Liam and Casey can you ensure that the right-sided centre back and the left-sided centre-back cannot play the ball wide 

John are you able to go into a position where a ball between you and Casey/Liam cannot be played? 

Liam and Casey Can you apply frontal pressure to the wingbacks - When/if the ball goes to the wingbacks or is played beyond 

General - Shifting to the active defensive area 

Maaz and Maksim - Can you go into a position where you can protect the goal, See the ball and your man 

Maaz and Maksim - Can you deny the opposition #6 and #8 the opportunity to play forward  

General - Surround the ball carrier and don't let the ball carrier play between you
