Set Up:
20 x 20 yard grid, 5-8 cones of 4 different colors
Time:
10 - 15 mins
Organization:
One person one ball. Players start by dribbling freely in the area without touching any of the cones randamly spread throughout the grid. On coaches command, players will have to perform tasks related to dribbling.
Commands:
Go (Start Dribbling)
Stop (Stop Dribbling)
Change Direction
On Top (Toe taps on top of the ball)
Between (Touches inside of both feet in place)
Right Foot only
Left Foot only
Soles Only
Alternates:
Have different Colored disc cones so they have to find specific colors while dribbling, then perfrom a task at that colored cone.
Coaching Points:
Ball Control (Soft Touch, Bring the ball in like an egg toss)
Passing/Recieving (Locked ankle, toe pointed up, inside of foot, chest over ball, eye contact with partner before looking back at ball)
Communication (Eye contact, Verbal, Hand Signals) *BE SPECIFIC*
Conditioning (Pace of Play)
Dribbling (Soft half touch, pinky toe, toes pointed down)
