Description

This session we will teach the players Passing and receiving   Focus on the technical elements rather than the tactical elements.

We Will focus on the technique of passing and receiving the ball  and how using either Wall Pass, Give and Go and Overlap. They can also use its team mate as a decoy and penetrate themselves.

As the coach, It is your job to choose from the multiple progressions and regressions/activities and deliver catering for your groups based on ability levels. Do not try to deliver all activities at once.

Coaching In the Game (make two stoppages during the end game to reinforce the learning outcomes below)

Restart Week 6

This week we will focus on restarts goal kick  explain the rules and how this work

Principle of play Week 6 - Width

The focus this week will how to create space providing width no only focus on spread out but to look up and take the space created

MVP points System

The player MVP system is a staple of the program and one we use to set competition from the start of the session to the finish between each individual

The way the system works every player has 5 MVP points to start, Players can win more points by applying themselves to each activity with full commitment trying their hardest to progress, and being awarded points by the coach

Players can also win points during each activity by scoring the most points for that activity and for that they will pick up 2 MVP points from the coach.

We also use the point system to reinforce good standards like staying in bounds, not bumping into other players, and good behavior. the player can lose their points when these standards are not met. Try to use it as a motivator, not a punishment. Once the players get used to this system they will become more responsible for their own development
