Aerobic General Practice
Organisation
12 players although any number can be used ideally split equally.
3 teams each with their own zone.
End zones 20x15, middle zone 10x15.
Balls ready to feed in to keep a level of tempo and alertness
How it works
Two end teams( Blue and Red) are the in possession teams. Yellows are the out of possession team.
Part 1
End Teams set a condition ( Set number of passes, everyone has to touch the ball etc) before switching the ball to the blue team without the yellow team gaining possession.
1 or 2 yellow players can enter the box with the other players trying to cut the pass across their territory.
Give each team a turn in the middle ( 1 min each)
Part 2
A rolling game
Each team has their own area but this time they can interchange. If the Yellow team go in and win the ball in the Red section, regardless of if the ball goes out of play or they win the ball they replace the red team as an in possession team with the red then transitioning to becoming the defending team and rushing to win the ball in the blue zone.
Play time last for 2-3 mins depending on how much transitioning. Give a minutes rest and then go again. The drill is worked around plenty of rest time if tha'ts not happening. Shorten the time or adjust the area size.
Points
In possession team get 1 point for achieving the set number of passes, and an extra point if their transfer pass goes to a player in the other area.
Receiving player can get a bonus point for controlling the switch pass.
Defending team can get a point for winning the ball and stopping the switch, they can get an extra point for winning the ball and transferring it to the other blues.

Anaerobic Specific Practice
Organisation
6v6 Involving attacking midfielders and Forward Players + GK
Playing area approx 60x40 (18yd Box to Box)
Pitch Split in to equal 3rds
How it Works
Focus is on transitioning from defence into attack and keeping up with play.
Conditions
Goals can only be scored in the shaded attacking 3rd and all attacking players must be located within the attacking 3rd. ( As players get tired you can make in attacking half.)
Further conditions such as limiting touches 3-2-1 can also be factored in to crank up the intensity.
Decending work period of 5, 4 and 3 minutes. with 1 min fixed break in between the work periods.
Technical and Tactical gains

Aerobic Specific Practice ( Finishing)
Organisation
Area of pitch is around the box 7 players, one GK and 6 outfield players
How it Works
Player in Blue is the feeder with 3 balls, he players the ball into each of the 3 players who turn and beat the manequin, then looking to finish with their 2nd touch all 3 return to their manequin for a cross from each side where all 3 challenge for the finish. After the last cross the drill is reset with all the players rotating round 1 place in a clockwise rotation.
Progressions for the drill can be.

12 players split into 3 teams.
1 team split through the 4 boxes with one player in each, the other 2 teams start in the same box.
How it works
Play if focused in one box with the in possession team looking to achieve a set number of passes, once they achieve the passes they can switch the play to an of the other boxes where they retain possession and the play continues.
If the passing sequence breaks down the number starts again with the new team.
Points are given for number of transfers completed and number of times possession is won.
After 3 minutes you switch the teams spread throughout the boxes (rest period) then go again for another 3 mins.
Players are working in a variety of game like movements incorporating walking, sprinting and longer stready runnning. The techincal aspects of the drill include
