Two Touches (10 mins)
-A passes to B and follows pass (sprint) to the end of B line.
-B receives pass from A takes a touch and passes to C. B sprints through grid to end of C line.
-C receives pass from B takes a touch and passes to D. C follows pass (sprint) to end of D line.
-D receives pass from C takes touch and passes to A. D sprints through grid to end of A line.
-Process repeats until players are comfortable with concept, players are making crisp sharp passes to other players.
-Progression from this is one touch passing and then to add a second ball to line C at the beginning of drill or when the ball is at line A during the drill.
-Continue to progess with one touch passing and adding a third and fourth ball.
-May have to expand grid due to adding ball.
Coaching Points:
1. When taking a first touch ensure the ball moves away from body and foot towards the direction of next pass. (DO NOT TRAP during the drill)
2.Communication is important in the drill with every age especially with younger players.
3. Players must remain on their toes with hips open to pass in order to receive pass. (Passes may be wild at younger ages).
4. Movement after pass. PLayers must move quick to next line as the drill speeds up and balls are added. (Great fitness drill)
