Activity Name: Changing Angles 1v1
Activity Description: Arrange Players in 3 groups. Each group has one player go out and become a defender. Group on the left goes first the player at the front of the group goes 1v1 against the defender, count down from 5, then let the middle group go, count down from 5 and then let the far group go. After attacking that player becomes the defender in that group. The defender retrieves the ball and returns to the group. After a couple of minutes rotate the groups.
Progression:
Before attacking the first player passes the ball to the defender. Defender controls using the sole of the foot and passes back, players then go 1v1. Before attacking player performs the sole delay and then attacks.
Coaching Points:
Defender
- Send players to the outside, or weaker foot for middle group.
- Good positioning.
- Don't dive in.
Attackers
- Attack at pace.
- Look to use a variety of skills - encourage sole roll.
- Make defender change their stance.

Activity Name: 3 Player Combos
Description: Players work on building the 3 out of the back. Introduce the following combinations:-
1 - Give &Go - Fixo plays the ball to the ala, checks forwards then moves towards the ala to work a give and go.
2 - Parallel Pass - Fixo plays the ball to the ala, runs horizontally across court then makes a diagonal run behind the defender for a 'parallel pass' down the line.
3 - Fixo plays the ball then makes the horizontal run again. They then make the diagonal run but this time 'block' the defender so that the ala can come behind them and bring the ball towards the center of the court.
4 - Fixo plays the ball and moves towards the opposite ala, the opposite ala comes in and works the give and go with the ala on the ball.
Coaching Points:
- Good communication.
- Timing and angles of runs.
- Futsal technique on the ball - sole of the foot, scooping, turn and face, etc.

Footwork & Sole Control (15 mins)
Activity Name: Footwork & Sole Control
Description: Players work through cones using different footwork patterns. Combinations should include:-
Right foot only (two touches inside and two touches outside of foot).
Left foot only (two touches inside and two touches outside of foot).
Roll the ball with one foot and tap it forward with the other.
Insides only.
At the final cone they play a pass to the player opposite them and then takes their place (in addition to regular passes have players work on 'puntazo' (toe poking). Player receiving the ball does the following (spend 2-3 minutes on each):-
- Receives sole of foot and rolls on a diagonal.
- Receives sole, performs sole delay and scoops to the side over the cones.
- Receives sole, performs sole delay and rolls across body.
Progression:
After completing the pass to the player opposite the player who just dribbled through the cones moves towards the end player and is a passive defender. The player receiving the ball now works on attacking moves (scissors, side-steps, Ronaldo's, step-overs, etc) to beat the passive defender - THE PASSIVE DEFENDER DOES NOT TRY TO WIN THE BALL.
