Equipment: Pinnies (i.e. 5 blue & 5 red with two keepers in other colours - pink and green.
Balls placed around the field to ensure continuity of play with one ball in play (15-20 total size 4 balls)
A field of play, 44 yds x 55 yds is marked by cones (20 cones). Net at each touchline.
Time - 20 minutes
Instructions - No offside rule. Ball out: on the end line = goal kick, sideline = throw in. Centre restart after goals.
Start with both teams in 3-1-1 formations to give room in the defensive and middle third to move the ball forward with an emphasis on running with the ball.
Once a team loses possession, fullbacks (FB) quickly regroup defensively into a 3-1-1 formation.
Coaching Points - head up to take in information and make quick decisions, push ball to free space using the outside of the foot to keep stride, pace and keep control of the ball (explode to the ball after pushing it forward).

Organization - 6 v 6, including 2 keepers. Players were already split into teams with keeper attached prior to the warm up. All players have a ball and start at the touchline to the right of the net diagonally to each other.
A 30x 44 yds grid is marked with cones. Balls placed around the field to ensure continuity of play with one ball in play
Equipment: Pinnies (i.e. 5 blue & 5 red with two keepers in other colours - pink and green).
15-20 total size 4 balls (size 5 for u13). 20 cones. 1 net at each touchline.
Time - 25 minutes
Instructions - No offside rule. Ball out: on the end line & sideline = next player whose turn to RWB goes and player who lost defends. The ball restarts from defending side.
Step 1 - Red player RWB and shoots on the opposing net.
Step 2 - Red player becomes a defender as the next blue player runs with the ball from the touchline. Blue player RWB, shoots and then becomes the defender as the red player RWB from the touchline.
*If the attacking player loses the ball, they become the defender as their net is attacked in transition.
The sequence of play ends for the players when the ball goes out of bounds, the keeper gains possession or a goal is scored.
Progression: Once the players have momentum of play and success RWB, a progression is to allow for two attacking players (i.e. red). The player with the ball draws the defender (blue) leaving the other attacking player with space to receive the ball and RWB to shoot (the line can remain where it started and players disperse as they see fit).
One of the attacking players (red) stays on the pitch to defend (the other returns to their line) and the defender leaves the pitch. Two new attacking players (blue) come from the touchline.
Coaching Points head up for awareness of space. Quick decisions. Push ball to free space using the outside of the foot to keep stride, pace and keep control of the ball (explode to the ball after pushing forward).
