Players split into two groups, with one group starting as attackers and the other group starting as defenders. Each group forms two lines: the defenders behind the goal line and just wide of the 6-yd box on either side; attackers across from the defenders in two lines, about 30 yards from the goal line. Two attacking players (one from each line) step forward to about 25 yards from the goal line. Play is started when the defensive player passes the ball diagonally across the playing area to the attacker on the other side. Two defenders and a keeper defend against the attackers. The attackers must complete a minimum of one pass before shooting. Goal is to play quickly and move off the ball to create quality shots. This is meant to be a quick progression as part of the warm-up. A passing limit (of, for example, 5 passes) or time (10 seconds, as an example) can be set for each pair of attackers.
Once a shot is taken, Attackers go to the defending line and Defenders rotate to the attacking line. If the ball goes awry, the attacking team needs to retrieve it.
The goal is high tempo to keep players energized and motivated during this warmup phase

Players split up into offensive and defensive groups (defenders should include game's defenders). Attackers position themselves, quickly, in the box to set up to receive the corner kick. Defenders work to prevent a goal and to successfully pass the ball to a teammate defender outside of the 18-yd box. When a goal is scored, shot missed, of successfully defended by a pass or clearance, the corner kicker sets up another ball to send into the box.
Note: corner kicker should practice the habit of following the play and not just standing in the corner awaiting the next service.
