Set Up:
1 full goal
10 balls
2 small goals
3 coaching sticks
4 different colored bibs
Activity:
Activity starts with shot on goal - vary service types, scoop saves, basket, contour, collapsing, etc.
Small goals and training sticks are either given numbers or have a different colored training bib assigned to them.
After the save, coach calls out a color or number - goalkeeper distributes to that target
> Red line - Bowl / rolled ball
> Blue line - Overarm or sling throw
> Green line - Punt, drop kick or sidewinder
COACHING POINTS:
Acccurate service, played into or just ahead of target - not behind.
Ball gets to target quickly - do not give defending team time to recover and organize
Use correct technique
Variations:
With multiple goalkeepers, assign points for accurate services (eg. 1, 3, 5)
Change target distances to mandate other distribution types (baseball/javelin throw, ball struck from the floor, sidewinders, drop kicks, whip throw, etc)
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
OBJECTIVE - improve distribution over 1st line into midfield.
DESCRIPTION
Server rolls ball to GK who gets ball out his feet and hits a midfielder behind the maniquin.
The midfielder then crosses ball high into the box for the GK to claim.
GK then throws the ball to the other midfielder.
Ball should be kicked over the maniquinns or through if there is a passing lane.
COACHING POINTS
Take ball off its line
distribution not too high over maniquins
good throw or kick to allow other midfielder to control ball.
PROGRESSION - Add players instead of maniquins
