Carousel Technical (Passing and Turning) (25 mins)

Key Factors

Three parts, even split of players into groups.
all groups follow the ball after passing, receiving player must open up and look for an angle to receive the ball. Treat cones as players and think about where they are passing and receiving the ball.
Progressions include more intricate passing moments including 1-2s within the drills. Each group goes 6 mins on a drill then rotates with progression at 3 mins.

Organisation

three groups, even numbers and rotate. Focus on two to three touches. Move the ball quick and repeat.

Smart Decision making, possession drill. (25 mins)

Key Factors

6v12 posession and decision making based game. Players must keep the ball and can use players on the outside for support. If blue win the ball they become attackers and then have the outside players available to pass too. Outside players always on team with possession. They can also be tackled.
Key about making smart decisions and moving into space, not following the ball. Creating angles and allowing players to make smart decisions to keep the ball.
Encourage play through the middle, rather than going along the outside to make it more realistic and expose space when available.
Point scored with 10 consecutive passes.

Organisation

Three teams of 6, swap outside players with a team inside and allow all teams to go outside.

Small sided Game (30 mins)

Key Factors

Can we now add what we have done in the technical and skill games to keep the ball better and make better decisions.
Maybe add a floater to play for the attacking team always to always include a free player.
Encourage moving the ball but scoring if opportunity comes.

Organisation

Three games going of teams equally spread. This could also turn into 9v9 with numbers of previous session but being flexible depending on numbers is key. Can move into full size game introducing GK dependent on numbers and availability.
