Aim- Use technical games involving chest pass & help them understand the basics.
Objective 1- Have participants learn the steps to doing a good & fluent pass.
Objectice 2- Add movements into exercise to have them learn about timing & creating space & options.
Objective 3- To use what they've learned to beat a defender & build some team cohesion.
Client- U15 (around 15-20 participants)
Equipment- 6 basketballs, 20 cones (different colours), whistles and a timer.

Organizational / Instructions
* Adding movement into the passing drill.
* Have group move slowly at first, then bulid up speed & direction.
* Keep them focused on exercise, add in conditions or challenges.
Coaching Points
* Have them be prepared, fully focused incase of any accidents that may happen.
* Get them moving all about their square, not all running in the same direction
Progressions / Adaptations
* If a coach's group is working well, get them challenged & make it more tough, with mini conditions added in.
* If a coach's group is struggling, slow them down & get them to relax when passing with still putting in good energy & enthusiasm.

Organizational / Instructions
* Coaches will number their groups 1-4 or 5 (again depending on numbers)
* Coach will shout a number & that number will run clockwise to the other & try to stop them from passing.
* Coach will keep note they team manages to keep the ball or lose it and keep score for their square.
Coaching Points
* Fully focused.
* Have them look for options easy or diffcult.
* Always be on the move, creating space & options for thrower.
Progressions / Adaptations
* Small based game, so progressions & adaptations are small with only needing to keep the tempo slow or fast, to keep the team engaged.

Static passing practice (10 mins)
Organizational / Instructions
* The 3 coaches (marked as orange cones) will take a sqaure each with 4 or 5 participants and will all explain what will happen with each section of the technical practices.
* Coaches will take a minimum of 2-3 minutes explaining the practice of chest passing & do the basic steps for it.
* Each square will be given a ball and marker cones.
* In this exercise it's all learning how to do the chest pass & create a small team cohesion to help them work together.
* They must learn the steps and then build up speed & begin to call each others name when passing to, so they stay alert.
Coaching Points
* To hold the ball the thrower must position ttheir hands into a W shape.
* Their thumbs must face downwards.
* Arms must be in towards the body (no chicken wings!)
* Finally they must step in and push through the ball across to the catcher's chest (not any lower or higher)
Progressions / Adaptations
* Progressing this exercise, it will involve adding a little bit of competition between the different teams, with rallys and consective passes.
* To make it easier for some, they can take to slow to they can figure out the steps & take their time to build up.
