Round Robin Wide Play
This is a great session to use in place of traditional fitness. It will help push players to maximum effort levels for short periods of time. It is primarily designed to be an offensive session, but it is very easily adapted to feature defensive topics as well.
*Let the players push the pace of the actiity. Add restructions only when certain Attacking Principles are in need of reinforcement

-This is a great economical training activity that can be used for a variety of topics: Techincal Service & Finshing, Tactical Wide Play, Attack Transition, Numbers up situations, Combination Play, Transition to defend, Presure/Cover/Balance,& Goalkeeping.
Logistics -
-Preferred dimensions would be 40x40. If you play 4v4, then the field should be 40x50 (age considersations must be applied).
-Teams play for a pre-determine amount of time, goals, shots, crosses, saves, etc. The teams who are not playing act as GKs & Wide players.
-Wide players can be on touch restrictions if necessary
**Coach can add restrictions for finishing, touch limits, number of passes, ways in which they score, ways to penetrate to wide areas, etc.
