This session will work on goalkeepers's distribution. Short range and medium range.
Keepers will get repetitions on making passing decision under no pressure and pressure.
Keepers should not have perfect success rate. Coach must be patient and instill confidence.

Goalkeeper's will pass to all three mannequins that would resemble a 4,5,6/8 in the game.
Goalkeeper will go pass around clockwise twice before switching goalkeeper.
Each player acting as the goalkeeper will go two times clockwise and two times counter clockwise.
Coaching points:
Firm pass to the back foot.
Scanning prior to receiving.
Focusing on a great first touch.
Repeat.

Goalkeeper has 2 options:
Can play short to CB or OB's depending on the positioning of the 7 & 11.
The goalkeeper needs to read where the opponent is positioned, make a decision and execute the pass. Goalkeeper must take into consideration that the player needs to make two touches before passing it back to them on the third one. If not read correctly or mishitting the ball, the defending 7 or 11 will be able to press the CB or OB and force the turnover.
Players will spend 4 minutes before rotating.
Keepers will spend 4 minutes on each side before the session moves on.
Coaching points
Recognizing the the body and field positioning of opponent.
Player receiving must be ready with the right body positioning and focus on their first touch.
Goalkeeper must focus on the technique to strike the ball with the right weight.

Small Sided Game :
During the small sided game. The goalkeepers can always play short using their feet to their nearest center backs. They can also using their feet find a player in the buffer zone if they think that will give them a tactical advantage in the small sided game.

Warm Up -
Coach will position himself on the PK spot and volley shots into the goalkeepers direction for the GK's to catch.
1st progression - GK rolls it back to the coach's feet.
2nd progression - GK throws it into either small goal.
3rd progression - GK throws it into either goal after the coach screams which goal to throw it.
Goalkeepers will have to do footwork sequences on the red and yellow cone.
Red Cone - single and double feet laterally prior to positioning in middle of goal.
Yellow Cone - Single foot hops laterally prior to positioning in middle of goal.
Goalkeeper will perform each side 3 times before moving on to the next progressoin.
Coaching points:
Eyes on the ball.
Quick feet - ground contact time.
Focusing on throwing precision.
