Small Sided Game.
Red Formation 2-1-5-1. (11vs11 - 3-5-1-1 / GK, Back 3, WFB's, 1 CDM, 2 CM, 10 & 9).
Blue Formation 4-1-3-1 (11vs11 - 4-4-2 (Diamond MDF 4).
Conditions.
- Blues have 10 seconds to score.
- Reds earn 2 points when combination play through zone 14 is used in build up to goal.
Coaching Points.
- Quality of pass.
- Decision making (can the ball be played through Zone 14 or does it need to be recycled and possession kept until opposition leave space to play through).
- Type of pass used.
- Can overloads be used / can 9 drop in or WFB roll infield or CM push forward in support when playing through centerally.
Equipment.
- Balls.
- Bibs (9 red, 9 Blue).
- 2 full size goals.
- 4 flat markers.

Red Formation 1-5-1 (11vs11 = 3-5-1-1).
Mannequin Formation 4-4 (Back 4, Diamond 4) / (11vs11 = 4-4-2).
Set Up & Coaching Points.
- Half Pitch (feeders starts on half way line).
- Flat Markers are used to map out 'Zone 14'.
- Mannequins are positioned in back 4, 2 cm and a 10 with enough room inside zone 14 for a CDM real player.
- Mannequins are placed just outside zone 14.
Coaching points.
- Quality of pass (accurate, enough pace to reach intended target).
- Intensity.
- Type of pass. (driven, side foot, chip pass)
- Movement to receive pass / "in and out" movement / Step one way, then quickly change direction into space.
- Communication.
To Start:
- Blue player cannot intervene with play (act as a mannequin for start).
- Reds get used to making short, sharp passes inside 'Zone 14'.
- Using different combinations such as; 4,6,10,8 through ball to 9 / 4,10,6 out wide to 11 then crossed into box for 9.
- Allow players to create own combinations when Blue player is Inactive.
What to do;
- Feeder starts with the ball everytime.
- 4 drops in to recieve the ball at an angle to play a fast pass.
- 8 & 6 roll outside the Mannequins to creat space for 10.
- 10 using sharp movement to create space for themselves (this would be more diffucult as there is an actual defender not a mannequin, therefore movement would need to be good and intense).
- 4 passes the ball to either 6, 8 or 10, who must be inside the 'zone 14' marked out area.
- Whoever receives the ball off the 4 must play another pass within the marked out area.
- After at leat 2 passes have been made inside of 'Zone 14' can the players try to score.
- Aim to use combinations practiced when drill was unopposed.

- 8 Red Bibs. 1 Blue Bib.
- 7 Mannequins.
- Balls.
- Flat Markers.
- 1 full size goal.
