Set Up: 24 x 24 grid. Adjust for number of players. Each team stands beside their goal and are numbered 1, 2, 3 or 4. Coach shouts a number and those two players race towards the coach. Coach throws the ball (underarm) to which ever player they want - this player must control the ball and try to score against the opponent. Keep the tempo high!
Session Aims: To give players the opportunity to receive an aerial ball under pressure

:: Try to get the ball on the ground as quickly as possible to attack
Progressions:
:: Coach can call more than 1 number (e.g. 2,3). This creates a 2v2 game

Set Up: 3v3/4v4 plus targets. Each team is aiming to get the ball from one target to the other (yellows) without losing the ball for a point. When a target receives the ball they must pick it up and throw it (underarm) to the same team that they received it from

:: Every time the ball goes out its a throw (normal throw, underarm throw or bouncing the ball in is okay)

Aerial Ball Mastery (15 mins)
Set Up: Each player should have a ball and dribble around the area. As the players dribble the coach will call the following body parts and players must pick the ball up and throw it in the area before controlling with the part of the body that the coach called.

Progression:
:: All players complete part one for 6-8 minutes before moving onto the progression
:: Only half the players have a ball now and hold it in their hands. All players should be running around the area
:: Players with the ball throw it (underarm throw) to a player without a ball who has to use the appropriate body part of control the ball and pass it back to the thrower on the ground
:: Switch throwers and receivers every 90 seconds
:: Throwers now bounce the ball into the receiver to add more difficulty
Session Aims: To provide players with unopposed opportunities to control aerial balls
