Through The Square (Progression)
Progression: When defenders win the ball 2 of the players from the outside can come in to win it back, defenders keep the ball for as long as possible
Coaching Points:
-When attackers lose the ball they must be quick to react
-Defenders must react quickly to move in to space and move the ball quickly

Through The Square (Progression 2)
Progression: When defenders win the ball they can score by playing a ball into the area between the end line and the goal for a fellow defender to run on to and score with a first time finish

Progression: When defenders win the ball it turns into a free game where both teams can score in either goal

Set Up:
-Create a rectangle with cones/discs (~20mx30m)
-Split group into 2 teams - one team goes on the outside of the area and one team on the inside
How To Play:
-The aim for the players on the outside is to keep possession of the ball, the defenders aim is to win possession of the ball
Coaching Points:
-Attackers: must move the ball quickly in order to keep the ball away from the defenders on the inside
-Defenders: closest to the ball goes to press - the others cover, especially the two second and third nearest
-movement for both the attackers and the defenders
