Session to focus on passing into space and using space to attack. Defending the space is also a benefit of this session.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Key Factors
Passing with extra man to encourage players to look for support and make decisions at speed.
Organisation
12 Players
35yard x 25yard Pitch cut into two equal halves
6 Players on each pitch.
1 GK
1 Defender
2 Attackers with 2 Attackers waiting to go next on opposing sides of the pitch.
Players must attack the goal by dribbling out and passing past defender to create shooting opportunities. Once attack is over the two attackers become GK and defender and so on.
Encourage the defender to close the space down.
Add defenders or attackers making 2 v 3 or 3 v 3 if needed.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Key Factors
Teams should set up with one attacking team of 5 outfield players v one defending team of 1 GK and 2 Defenders. The attackers must attack the goal using passing and decision making to open up space.
If the defending team wins back the ball and passes to their GK the attacking team takes one player off until they are outnumbered or the attackers score. The teams swap places and the defending team then reverts to attack and starts with 5 - the original attacking team becomes the defending team and reverts to 1 GK and 2 defenders. Encourage the passing into space or to the spare player/s at all times. Get the players making decisions on where they feel the space or best attack route is.

Passing Infront (10 mins)
Key Factors
Players are put into pairs and asked to run and pass to their partner over a 20-25 yard distance. Encourage lots of small passes, continuous movement which gets the players used to passing infront of the running player.
You can add gates if needed to make into a skill practice but for this purpose I would use as a technical before the next skill session.
Focus on passing into the space before the receiver and weight of pass, different parts of the foot to pass and control, head up and communication.
