Hockey Session (Under 16s): Goal scoring game

Goal Scoring

4 v 2 + 2 Goalies

4 attackers trying to score in the goal v 2 defenders and GKs.

GKs aiming to clear the ball outside the dash, defenders have to carry out over the dash and then play a new ball in.

Used to refine close range goal scoring and finishing

Players must take anew ball from the dashed line to attack, a different person must get a new ball each time.

Numbers:

Can play 3 v 3 v 2 keepers

Can play 2 v 4

4 v 2 gives a good chance to work movement of forwards in the circle

Could have 3 sets of 2 with 2 defending and 4 attacking

Can add two transfering players outside of the circle and play 2 v 2 v 2 keepers

Numbers can be fluid

Can condition goal scoring aims EG only one touch finishes or only floor to score
