Session Objectives
What? - Transition from A to D
When? - When team loses the ball
Where? - In attacking 3rd
Who? - #9, #10, #11
Why? - To regroup, deny penetration and win the ball back as quickly as possible.

Duration: 20 minutes (X rounds of X min / X min recovery)
Intensity: L/M/H
Dimensions: 20x30 yds.
Description:
- Split group into 3 teams.
- Two teams (orange and white) are in possession VS one team (black) out of possession
- Orange and White must try to retain possession, every 5 passes is 1 goal.
- Defending team earn 1 point each time they win the ball. To start defending team gives the ball back when they win the ball so we can focus on group defensive pressure.
Progressions:
- Same as above except when a team gives the ball away they become the defending team and the defending team joins the attackers.
Individual Technical Principles:
- Block tackle (toes pointing up)
- Contact
- Pressure to force a mistake
Team Tactical Principles:
- Quickly regroup and get compact to deny passing lanes
- Make play predictable by overloading areas and using body shape
- Anticipate to what may happen rather than reacting to late

Dimensions: 20x30 yds.
PART 1 - Description:
- Split players into 4 groups, play a 2 (oranges) vs 1 (white).
- Coach plays ball to Player 1, who must try to score in either of the two small goals.
- Orange team must try to win the ball and score in the main goal.
- If Player 1 loses the ball then Player 2 joins to help team transition from A to D.
PART 2 - Description:
- Same as above except add one player on each team to make a 2v3 which transitions into a 3v3.
