Session Focus: To create goal scoring opportunities in 1v1, 2v2 situations.
Session Outcomes:

Set up: 18x15 yrds, with 2 mini goals at either side on both ends. Play 2v2 with outside bounce players in between both goals.
Format: Attackers look to score in either target goal, can use outside bounce players to create overloads. If def wins ball they counter, rotate roles after each go.
Progressions: competition 3 mins to score as many goals as they can then rotate.
Key Points: Movement of the ball to provide support and unbalance defenders
Player on ball look to draw a defender in and then pass the ball/beat them
Individual skill be creative and dominate your opponent in 1v1.
Combination play to get around defensive unit
out of possession press the ball & delay attack by being compact.

3v3 (round robin play) (5 mins)
Organization:
- 15 x 25 yard grid, larger if space permits.
- divide the group into 2 equal teams of 4 players each - NO GK
- unlimited touches to all players to start.
- players look to score on small pug net.
- each game is 4mins - each team plays each other once. Winner with most games won
Progressions:
- must score via one-touch or strike with non-dominant foot
Coaching Points:
- speed of play = fast
- shape = TRIANGLES at all times
- decision making - keep head up
- creativity / attacking mentality

Area: 30x30 yrds, players into 3 teams, position 1 team at each corner, 2 teams in middle.
Possession game where teams look to retain the ball & play into corner players to score a point.
Rotate outside teams every 5 min.
Key Points: Movement as a team to make area big - opposite lines of outside players.

2v2 into 1v1 (10 mins)
Set Up: Use width of 6 yrd box x 25 yrds length with a large goal. at either side use width of rest of area with small target goals at the end. 2 def in the big area to play 2v2 with Gk, 1 def in end zones to make it 1v1.
Format: Attack the big goal 2v2 & attempt to score, players will then seperate into the 2 wide zones.
In wide zone its 1v1 & attempt to score in small target goals. If def wn the ball they counter attack to the end zone.
Rotate roles after a set time.
Progressions: Split the group into 2 teams and attackers have 4 min to score as many points as they can. Big goal = 1 point small goal = 3 points.
Key Points: Decision making on ball, Attack the space, support play to open pitch up & create space, 1v1 skills, combination play, finishing.
