Session is created to build confidence in a striker who in particular needs to take chances outside of the penalty area. Good for a Cam player, attacking midfield or for a dead ball specialist. For this it is fro a great striker low on form.
Challenges for this are obviously adding and taking away the defenders
adding and taking away a GK
Players including the GK can make passes between the defenders
Technically looking fro body position, eye on the ball, position of placed foot and shot selection
The mechanics can be broken down by the coaching staff and instant play back from a phone or a tablet for the striker to visualize and recreate the shot in the same position
dead ball situations are there to slow down the practice and to give the player some rest time placing the ball picking a spot.
Must remain realistic in that the placed ball is 10yrds from defenders
Progressions from set piece plays to moving ball situation, adding and taking away a GK if shots being saved
Personal choice would be instant video play back on successful shots and changing angles of video position
