Explanation
The objective of the team in possession is to try and play through, around or over the opposition players to score. The team in possession can use the common players working in the channels outside to help them with exploiting more space to break lines, however they are only limited to 2 touches. Once a team has scored play restarts with the blues. The Blue GK then distributes a ball into a Blue CB and play restarts. The SSG MUST reflect the 11v11 game in terms of throw ins and restarts.
How
The Head Coach continues to work with the Blue team throughout the SSG. Both teams are missing their Full backs and wingers inrelation to the 11v11, Blues are in a GK-4-3-3 and Reds start in a GK-4-2-3-1. The opposition, when in possession, will adhere to thesame in possession playing principles but won't be coached at anytime, only managed from the assistant coach to ensure realismand to maximise the objectives of the session.

Explanation:
Both teams are focusing on the same in possession principle but only the Blue team is coached (Head Coach) and the Red team ismanaged (Assistant Coach). The objective of the Blue team in possession is to try and playthrough, around or over the oppositionplayers and score by transferring the ball into their #9. The team in possession HAS to playthrough the MF3 players and can't playdirectly. Once a team has successfully got the ball into the #9 they then restart with their CB’s. The defending team (i.e Red Team) willbe encouraged to playthrough / direct when they gain possession and counter attack scoring the same way.
How
Both teams are missing their Full backs and wingers in relation to the 11v11, Blues are in a GK-4-3-3 and Reds start in a GK-4-2-3-1.The opposition, when in possession, will adhere to the same in possession playing principles but won't be coached at anytime, onlymanaged from the assistant coach to ensure realism and to maximise the objectives of the session.Block 1: 2 Blue CBS with 1 Red #9 Striker. The two CBs are unopposed and Red #9 Striker stays outside end line for counter attackfrom Red team. 6v3 overload with the team in possession against opposition MF3.Block 2: 2 Blue CBS with 1 Red #9 Striker. The 2 CBs can now be pressed if ball is played back to them from #9 opposing striker. TheCB in possession can now step into central area when in possession of the ball to create a 4v3 overload in midfield, thereforecreating additional passing channels and opportunities to play into Blue #9.
