Description :
> 40x40 grid.
> into pairs.
> 1 ball between each pair.
> attacker will start with the ball with defender in front of them without a ball.
> player with ball must dribble towards defender moving ball from side to side changing direction of ball & body quickly.
> defender cannot tackle attacker, defender must be on toes & shuffle back quickly while always facing attacker who is dribbling.
> defender must look to change angle of body when attacker changes direction.
> after 2 minutes swap players over. Allow everyone to be defender twice.
Progression :
> defender can not attempt to get a touch on ball & stop attacker.
Coaching Points :
> on toes to change direction & shuffle quickly.
> bend knees to allow us to keep balance.
> chest always facing attacker, never turn our back.
> keep eyes on the ball & not the player.

Description :
> 15x30 channel.
> 1v1.
> 2v1.
> coach focus on defenders.
> defender must pass ball down to attacker & close down straight away.
> attacker must look to get beyond defender & score into mini goal.
> defender must look to delay attacker for as long as possible before making a tackle.
> do not stab straight away, will take you out the game, can we show the attacker towards to wing?
> swap roles after 4 minutes.
Progression :
> add in an extra defender.
> first defender must look to close down attacker.
> second defender must cover first defender.
> defenders must look to close down angles for attacker to restrict their dribbling.
> can first defender show attacker towards the second defender?
Coaching Points :
> close down quickly before attacker gets close to goal.
> on toes to change direction & shuffle quickly.
> keep eyes on the ball & not the player's movement.
> bend knees to get down low & keep balance when moving.
> time challenge to win ball so we do not take ourselves out the game too early.
