Organisation:
The first player dribbles out to the 2nd line and executes a turns, dribbles to 1st line and turns before passing to teammate on the end line.
Coaching Points:
- Maintain good balance
- Keep the ball close to feet when executing the turn
- Head up and make eye contact with the receiving player
- Bigger touch into space when the turn has been made
- Accelerate into space after turn
Progression:
Same process as before but as the player runs into the middle to do a turn the player from the opposite end line runs in to try and steel the ball. The player with the ball can run to either end line, if they loose the ball they change roles, the point is awarded to the player who makes it to the end line with the ball. The first player to 3 points wins the game.
Spacial awareness is critical for the player on the ball so they can turn and accelerate away quickly
