Practise starts with player on ball. They make a pass to the player on 2nd pole, who has moved away to receive back foot. This player then moves the ball behind the pole, and plays hard pass to the player on the 3rd pole, before following their pass and playing a quick wall pass with the 3rd player. During this build up, the 2 players on the 4th pole make opposite movements, and are free throughout the practise to be creative to combine. Examples could be the outside player dropping lower whilst the inside player goes higher, as shown. The player on the 3rd pole then makes a pass out wide, for a combination between the two who have been on the 4th pole. The following pass then goes to the player on the 5th pole, and is supported by one of the players from the 4th pole, for a wall pass behind. The player on the 5th pole then passes hard into the goal.
EMPHASISE PASS QUALITY, MOVEMENTS AND CREATIVE PLAY! AND THE DECISIONS OF THE TWO PLAYERS ON THE SAME POLE. A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR A PASS BETWEEN THE LINES COULD BE IN THE DIAGRAM SHOWN, WHERE THE OUTSIDE PLAYER IS DEEPER, AND THEY SET THE BALL BACK FOR THE 3RD POLE PLAYER, WHO THEN PLAYS A REVERSE PASS THROUGH FOR THE 4TH POLE PLAYER WHO HAS GONE HIGHER WITH THEIR OPPOSITE MOVEMENT. SO MUCH SCOPE FOR CREATIVITY HERE! ADD PASSIVE DEFENDER TO TRACK ONE OF THE MOVEMENTS.
