heading technique (20 mins)
Heading Technique
Working for 1min on 30 secs off to change roles the blue team throw the ball in for the red team to head back
Heading down to blue team feet for attacking header and up above head for defending header
Teams switch positions every 1 min
Progression and regressions
Progress by adding different types of headers
regress by allowing players to volley ball back to players

Heading skill (20 mins)
Heading Skill
The players on the outside throw or kick the ball into play for the outfield players to head into the goals for an attacking header or over the goals for a defending header
The coach decides which header to use
The players rotate position every time they head the ball ( outfield player swaps with the player passing ball in)
Progression and regressions
Players can rotate position with outfield player on the other side of field to create a running header
to regress you can you larger goals to create more goal scoring opportunity's
Allow players to volley the ball instead of heading

Players play normal game with the exception that only one player can go into the outside lane to cross for players to attempt scoring headers
2 points for headed goal 1 point for a volley
Progressions and regressions
Ask players to play through the team before playing the ball wide to score
allow one attacker and one defender to use outside lane
allow players to score by any means
