Dancing Ball (15 mins)

Set Up: 

  • Each player with a ball.
  • Field size 20 (L) x 20 (W) with circle inside as shown.

Action: 

  • Each player with a ball is to start beside a marker.
  • Players then move to the next marker in a clockwise direction to the next marker.
  • Players are to perform a ball mastery exercise or start of a move at the marker as instructed by the coach.
  • The process repeats until you get back to the marker you started at.
Variation/Progressions
  • The time of sets or size of the area can be adjusted to suit the needs and abilities of the players.
  • Aim to improve ball mastery.

Player Tips:

  • As Above.

Coaching Points:

  • Correct ball mastery technique.
  • Try to increase speed as you go.
  • Dribble between the cones.
  • Heads Up.
  • Move in the same direction.

Session Timing:

  • Complete 4 sets with a 1 minute rest in between sets.
