  • can keep the ball up how you want when its on your side but to get it over to the other side players have to head it over

Screen 2 (15 mins)

Organisation

  • using the same are have 6 players on the outside and 6 on the inside 
  • have the 6 on the outside ready to serve for the inside players on the move for headers
  • encourage the servers on the outside to mix up their service so the players on the inside mix up the type of headers back
  • Progress into a skill drill - get the players into pairs in the middle and they then have to compete for the ball coming in from the outside

Screen 3 (30 mins)

Organization

create 4 areas at each corner of the playing area where the players on the ball start off unopposed so they can cross the ball in to get the players trying to head the ball in as much as possible

If players score with a header they get an 2 goals

Progression 

 remove the areas in the corners so the defending team can put pressure on the cross to make it more game realistic

Regression

make the areas in front of the goal unopposed so you can see more headed goals
