Warm-up

Warm up 20:30 - 20:40 (10 mins):

Equipment: 4 cones to make large box, 6-8 footballs, 4 reds, 4 oranges, 4 greens, 4 non-bibs

Set up:

  • Start with large area, bring cones in gradually
  • Change outside team every 30 seconds (time it)

Groups:

  • Red: Paige, Kiri, Georgia, Ada
  • Orange: Marla, Fran, Lu, Ruby
  • Green: Isabelle, Isabela, Lauren, Maddy
  • Non-bib: Maddie, Leila, Lil, Breanna 

The game + progressions:

  • Start with 6 footballs, progress to 8
  • Receive from outside, combine with a DIFFERENT colour, play outside
  • Receive from outside, combine with SAME colour, play outside
Focuses - only implement after each colour has been outside:
  • Loud verbal communication
  • Eye contact
  • Scanning
  • Using hand to call for ball - to feet or into space
