7v 3 Rondo Passing Lines

Phase:

• Back third building the attack, releasing FB's and entry into the DCM.

• The area provides the DCM (red 6) and CM's (red 8 and 10) with reference points for when, where and how they can take up positions to support the back 4, provide balance and release or combine with the FB's (red 2 and 3).

Organizations:

• Passing Lines-
• 1st passing line (in front) - splits the opponent and condenses the opponent open spaces to advance FB's & switch the attack (move defenders)
• 2nd passing line - (around opponent) - position of the red FB (3) in advance of the blue CF & CM to progress the ball and draw another blue defender
• 3rd passing line (penetration) - split the opponent's CF & CM and advance the ball. 

Focus areas:

• Passing Lines & Movement to open angles of entry from the back four to gain entry into advanced FB's, into the DCM and/ or into the advanced CM's.

Key factors:

• Timing of passes.

Sliding movement of angles of support.

Ability to limit touches to catch opponents out of balance.

Preparation to receive the ball.
