SSG with Halfway Line (20 mins)

Width of the 18 yard box, length is from endline to the halfway line. A line should be made so that players can see where the halfway point of this field is.

Rules:

- No corners, if the ball goes out on the endline it always starts with the keeper

- Throwins when the ball goes out of play on the sides

- No offsides

- For a goal to count, everyone on that team must be over half (if not everyone is over halfway, the goal does not count and the opposition get the ball)

Progression:

- If a team scores a goal, and a player from the oppositions team is on opposite half of the field, it's worth 2 goals.

Outcomes:

- High Intensity

- Players paying attention, knowing when they have to be over halfway

3v3 and 1v1 (30 mins)

Divide the group up into 4 even groups. 2 teams will be doing one activity while the other 2 teams do another. After 5 minutes, the teams will rotate. Each team will play each other once per activity.

Activity 1:

3v3 with small goals. When ball leaves the grid, the opposition can either kick the ball in or dribble in.

Activity 2:

3 different grids. 1 person from each team in each grid. 1 ball per grip. Objective is to have the ball when the time is up. The ball starts in the middle of the grip. If the ball goes out of play, the player who it went off last losses the ball. Don't tell the players how long each game is, games can be between 1 min and 1.5 mins. Then let the players rotate and repeat. Do this till each player has gotten a chance to play every player on the oppositions team.

Outcomes:

- High level of competitiveness

- High intensity/work rate

2 even teams, once this is done, each player should find a partner on the opposite team. During the game, if your partner scores a goal, you have to exit the field and do a full lap around the small pitch. The team that just conceded will play a man down till the player finishes his lap.

Rules:

- If the ball goes out of play on the sideline, it's a kickin not a throwin

- No corners, if it goes out the endline, always starts with keeper

- No offsides

Outcomes:

- High intensity
