Practice Organisation
*2v1 to goal game.
*Two 5x5 squares on the edge of the box with a defender each.
*Two attackers look to attack each defender who is restricted to moving only within theirsquare. If a player loses possession to teh defender then he swaps roles and becomes the defender.
Learning Objectives
1. Players are encouraged to attack quickly and using clever combinations and / or 1v1 skills in order to break through to goal.

Practice Organisation
*Area 30x20yds, divided into equal thirds.
*Players remain in each zone and set up as illustrated.
Reds Objective: play end to end to either GK, playing through MF.
Blues Objective: prevent the Reds from scoring, if they gain possession, counter attack to the opposite goal and score.
Progressions
*Reds can rotate positions as long as 2 players are in each zone.
*Passes can miss out MF zone and go into end zone.
*Blues aren't restricted to any zone.
Coaching Points
1. Early & appriopriate selection of turns to either keep possession or counter-attack.
2. Body shape when receiving ball - is a defender behind you/is there space.
3. First touch - direction/part of foot/do you need to control the ball.

Practice Organisation
*Area 40x30 yards set out in equal thirds with goals at each end.
*14 players (+2 GKs), with defenders out numbered 3v4 in each end third.
*Practice starts with Neutral players in middle third, serve ball into Attackers & support play from behind, without entering end third.
Objective of practice, Defenders play outnumbered to pvevent Attackers from scoring, gain possession and in to Neutral player to score one point.
Rotate roles of players.
Details
Distance between 3 defenders when being attacked by four opponents.
Communication, changing roles and working with GK as sweeper.
Deflecting attacks away from central goal scoring areas.
Balanced, controlled 1v1 defending skills.
Defenders identifying opportunity to pass or run with ball on gaining possession.
Key Coaching Points
1. Blocking shots.
2. Pressing man on ball and employing delaying tactics to avert attack.
3. Marking and covering
4. Winning ball and quickly playing forward to Neutral player.

Set Up
*A square set up as illustrated with players on 3 of 4 poles/cones.
*Ball is played into player 2 who sets ball back to player 1, he plays around the corner to player 3, who plays 1-2 with player 2.
Progression
*Player 2 overlaps player 3 who then slides a pass in.
*Opposite direction.
