Method: 4 v 4 v 4 + 2 transition game

Coaching Points:

  • Set up 30 x 20 grid, 2 GK's with 4 blues, 4 reds and 4 yellows.
  • Reds start with the ball and attack blues, if reds score they transition to attack yellows.
  • If blues win the ball they transition to attack yellows.
  • Looking for good passing, movement, communication and quick transitioning.
Progression:
  • Allow one blue to advance into red zone to try win the ball higher and rotate roles.
  • To increase game tempo, introduce 30 secs to score.
