Session Organisation. Play area set up: 2 x 15yds grids= 30yds x 15yds. 4 players work in pairs one in the grid zone one outside. 1 ball between 4. Increase number of play areas to number of players.
Detail.
1. One touch play, short & long passes + rotational movement; O-R plays to Z-R he plays back to O-R he plays to Z-B he plays to Z-R he plays to O-B, repeat other way and continue.
Progression; O-R and Z-R rotate on Z-R pass-back he moves into zone and plays to Z-B, he plays back and the sequence continues with O-B and Z-B.
2. Long pass, control and set up play, manniquine introduced. 2 zonal players combine angles and distance then switch players.
3. Same as 2 but now introduce defender to zonal areas, creating a 2v1 zonal game.Outside players can switch with a zonal player. communication.

Session Organisation.
Small Sided Game. Balls; Bibs; Cones.
Six, 15 x 15 zonal areas = 45 x 30 play area. 6 v 6 play, 1 v 1 in selected zones.
2 target players, one in each target free zone area and 2 floaters in wide free zone areas,
one each side.
Progression; Allow players to switch side to side creating 2v2 then rotational grid movement
Detail
S-S-Game. 1v1 must stay in zoned areas, retain the ball by using supporting players. To score the team in possession must recieve from a target zone player and play through to the opposite target player.
Free play to start with and then had conditions 1/2/3 touch etc.
Sideway rotation of team player in possession only.
Forward and backwards rotation of team player in possession only. Understanding game awareness and game appreciation

Session Organisation
Area 60x40yds, divided into thirds with central third divided in half & appropriate size goals at each end, as illustrated.
18 players (incl. 2 GK’s), organised in two groups of 9, 2 balls.
Practice starts with: 3v2 in each end third, plus 3 attacking MF players for each team in each of two central safe zones, who remain in their own half.
MF’s can only provide one touch passes into A’s, through the screen of their MF opponents.
Objective of game is to pass through central zones into A’s who look to link-up play & enter into goal scoring situations
Detail
Realistic defending in challenge areas.
Communication between A’s & MF’s essential through recognising signals & body shape.
Encourage clever & inventive individual & combination plays by A’s. Range of passing skills (which may be disguised) to supply A’s. Simple progression for this practice is:
When receivers are allowed to use 2 touches, D’s may press in safe zones after opponents’ first

5 v 5 game with 4 from each team on outside of 44 x 44 area. 6 target goal poles
Detail:
To score a goal, player must pass (not dribble) through pole gate and received on other side by a teammate.
Players on outside on 1 touch, free play on inside.
Progression:
Players on outside can bring the ball into the area and be replaced by passing teammate. Rotational movement.
