Passing and receiving- creating shape and finding lines to go forward
Organization:
As shown above... 10 x 20 with a half way line. 4 or 5 players each.
Objectives:
Players to work on and improve movement and positioning to create shape, and create (open) passing lines, to play forward.
Description:
1. B opens up and A passes the ball to B, then follows pass, B controls the ball & passes to C (C should open up on the opposite side to B), C controls the ball to play forward
* add competition to increase intensity - first team to complete 'x' amount of rotations or the team that completes the most in x amount of time.
2. B opens up and A passes the ball to B, then follows pass, B drops the ball back to A (1 or 2 touch) who then passes to C (C should open up on the opposite side to B), C controls the ball to play forward.
* add competition to increase intensity - first team to complete 'x' amount of rotations or the team that completes the most in x amount of time.
3. B opens up and A passes the ball to B, then follows pass, B drops the ball back to A (1 or 2 touch) who then passes to C (C should open up on the opposite side to B), B turns quickly to support C, C drops the ball back to B who creates an angle of support for C, in a 2v1 situation (1 or 2 touch) and B plays it back to C in behind.

Coaching points:
-Head up- / looks over shoulders
- weight/direction of receiving touch.
- weight/direction of pass.- pass to proper foot

Good positioning with movement to create shape,and open (create passing lanes).

Tech/Tactical- Keepaway
-2 teams.
# (2) of players go across to try and win ball (5v2). If defenders win ball, they try and play back across to their side and continue.
Object is to get (#) of passes on your side without losing ball.
-Coach plays new balls in (fast pace).
-Can adjust based on numbers/ability as well.
(+) add defenders that go across (3)
(+) add defender after every 5 passes
(+) team can go to opposite Goal after # of passes / defenders in

- Restrictions- # of passes, must play to GK if win ball in defending half, etc.

Warm Up (15 mins)
Objectives:
Players to work on and improve movement and positioning to create shape, and create (open) passing lines, to play forward.
Activation: 2 Up/ 1 Down;
Two Teams. One team has (2) Balls that are trying to hit the other ball with hands (UP).
Other team has (1) ball that they are passing (on ground) to try and keep away from other two balls.
If Ball (on ground) is hit, teams switch roles.
(+) consequence if ball on ground goes out of area (pushup, burpees,etc) or three times and switch
roles.

Use teammates to help with balls in hands (pass closer to ball)
