Organization:
Players work in pairs. Place four cones on outside of each grid and one cone in middle. Player 1 (Blue) leads and player 2 (Red) has to react and match the movements of player 1. Player 1 aims to fake and get player 2 off balance before stepping on a cone. Player 2 attempts to match player1's speed to reach the corresponding cone in their grid at same Players work for 1 minute, then switch roles.
Progression:
Coach assigns a sequence for touching cones with hands. Players the race to complete the sequence quickest. Can also vary between touching cones with hands or feet. Make it competetive amongst the group ie players race v different partners and player with most wins is teh quickest
Coaching Points:
1)Importance of 1st step – use back leg as spring
2) Drive towards ext traget (cone) by pumping arms
3)Keep head steady
4)On toes - stay off heals
5) Quick thinking, think ahead for next movement

Organization:
Players play 4v4 games. One team defends one large goal and the other team defends two small goals. Teams swich sides after 4 minute rounds of play.
Coaching Points: (Defending)
1) Apply early pressure on ball
2) Stay on toes
3) Body position to dictate where attacker goes
4) Change of direction/pace to keep up with attackers movements
5) Understand to channel play wide when defending one large goal.
6) Defensive transition as a unit must be quicker when defending two small goals
Progressions:
1) Progress to 4 v3 with three defending the two small goals. If they win it they can play to a fourth attacker on side line to attack the large goal

Organization:
Players divided into two teams and then into two lines. Each player plays in their assigned grid. Team 1 (Blue) must make 3 consecutive passes min. before attempt to play through to the second line of blue players.If Team 2 (Red) wins ball then they will make 3 consecutive passes and then attempts to play to the other bank of red.
Progression:
If forward line of each team receives possession they can drive forwared and attack the back line to get a shot on goal.
Coaching Points:
1) Good defensive shape as a unit to take away passing lanes
2) Quick movements as a defensive unit to react to passing movements of attacking team.
3) Communication
4) See play in front and check on movements of players in behind

Let them play! For quick transition, set the condition that once score must then attack the opposite goal

Warm--Up (20 mins)
Organization
Players play 3 v1 rondo in 15 x 15 yd grids. Start with 1 touch condition for attackers, then 2 touch and then ulimited. Defenders change in middle if they get a touch on the ball. Defenders stay in if attackers get 10 consecutive passes or nutmeg the defender.
Progression
Two teams play vs 1 team. Team that loses possession becomes the defending team
Coaching Points:
1) Close space quickly
2) Correct body shape to "force" predictable play
3) Decision making when to be aggressive to win ball
