Pleasantville Panthers 06 B
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organization:
As above, grid approximately 20x25. Add grids as needed for players. Balls and all players in line on double cone at edge of the area.
Instructions:
Attacking player A plays a pass into space for attacking player B to run onto (1). Once the pass is played, the defender can go attack (2). Once the pass is past the blue line, player B recieves the ball and looks for back pass to escape pressure (3). Attackers then attempt to keep possession of the ball from the defender, while getting a point every time they are able to pass across the blue center line. Once they make 5 passes, they can score in any of the four red gates. If the defender wins the ball, they can immediatly go score in any red gate for a point. Players then switch lines.
Coaching Points:
* Where is the space? (Can you pass or dribble out of pressure?)
* Reading defender to know when to dribble or when to pass
* Using body to protect ball to pass backwards (U turn, etc)
* Angles of support to passes
Progressions:
1) Have the attackers be able to beat the defender to a goal on the far side
2) Have grid to to 6v2 and increase space to 50x30. Normal Liverpool rondo rules. Attackers score with 10 passes, defenders score in red gates

Organization:

Instructions:
Teams must make 10 passes to score a point, but may only pass foward when it breaks a line in the other team. Normal goals are worth one point. 10 passes and a goal are worth 5 points. First team to 10 points wins.
Coaching Points:
* What pass can get the ball as far away from pressure as possible
* When to pass, when to dribble or penetrate (Ques)
* Good angles to offer support (always have 3 options)

Organization:
Players in grid as above. Grid approximately 30x40, adjust as needed for numbers. All players have a bib tucked into their waist.
Instructions:
Players attempt to grab the other players bib that is tucked into their waist. If players have their bib taken, they must take another players bib and take a knee while they tuck it into their waist. They may then attempt to get more bibs. Players with the most bibs at the end wins.
Coaching Points:
* Body shape and motion to use body to protect the bib
* Quick acceleration into space away from pressure
* Awareness of players around you
Progressions:
1) Instead of having bibs, each player has a ball instead. Players must protect their ball. If they lose their ball (into touch) that player loses a point. If a player is able to make another player lose control of their ball, they gain a point. Player with the most points wins
