If your GK is right footed then he should set up on the the left side of the court to allow him to cut into the middle to get a shot off on his strongest foot. This means that the ball is safe side if he drives into the middle.

You may not want the GK to receive on the left hand side of the court because cutting in to the middle from the right hand side of the court means that the defender that presses your GK will give the defender a better chance to shoot.

As a tactical consideration, in futsal we generally play with lefties playing on the right and righties on the left for the better/safer shooting opportunities it creates.

If I was setting up for a (5-a-side) futsal game, I would set up like this but as this is 6-a-side, would use the extra player #6, in the middle/pivot position to allow to play through the middles or set up for a vertical wall pass for a shot.

This set up shows it for a left footed GK.

Of course if you have a GK that is two-footed then that is a huge bonus and allows them to be involved both side of pitch.

This allows you to stretch the pitch.

GK has to be very careful to be aware of where they are on the pitch and not fall back into their own half.

Other considerations will be that in this set up ideally: #4 should be a right footer and #5 should be left footer. This allows either player to cut in and get a shot off on their dominant foot.

Essential that the move is FINISHED and the ball doesn't end up in the GK's hands as that allows them to initiate the counter-attack or could shoot straight at your goal.

Possible option to play to the GK.

They drive in to the middle and shoot.

Player 5 to drive to the second post to finish if require of if GK spills the ball

#6 might be used to 'block' or I believe in SOCCA 6 it is called 'screening' if required to protect the GK run.

Kick Ins in this area of the pitch give you the best chance to create scoring opportunities.

Having some set plays from here but using the GK as your extra player. I'd say that in these situations what you have done before will probably work  but the GK just needs to bear in mind his responsibility to get back to defend the goal if you lose possession.

#2 needs to also be ready to defend the goal should you lose possession or if they think they can win the ball on a counter-attack then do so, or delay the play long enough for the GK to get back in position. The GK does have one touch to defend outside their area in their own half if they are retreating. You need to train for those situations so everyone understands their roles.
