The coaches had been tasked with getting some physical returns from a pressing session. This is in support of the emerging England DNA.
Ignore the timings as we only saw a short session. You canuse as a whole session or as part of something else.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
The Red team MUST advance the ball through the thirds by dribbling or running the ball into each new zone.
The Blue team MUST advance the ball by passing from one zone into the next.
Play for a set period then switch roles.
In the example above, the outside reds make forward runs to try to draw the defenders back, allowing space for the dribble.

Pressing (25 mins)
Set up as many pitches as you need for all your players (could be 3v3, 4v4 or a floater could move between pitches).
Both teams are trying to score (the points values shown are for the Red team).
It's possible to set the game going without telling the players what you are trying to get out of it. However, the idea is to try to win the ball as high up the pitch as possible, in order to create scoring opportunities closer to the opponent's goal.
In this example, the nearest red to the ball closes down with a curved run (trying to cut off a passing option).
At the same time, the 2 deeper reds close down the nearest blue.
