Activity:
-Team Red holds possession, connect 5 passes and switch field
-Next team to hold possession connects 8 passes and switch field
-Every time the ball is switched 5 more passes are added to connect before switching field, continue until reach number 25 or defending team has taken ball away
-Defending wins ball and play to opposing team
-Team that loses ball becomes the defending team
Progression:
-Limit number of touches per player
-Time limit to switch the field
Coaching Points:
- Play with head up – decision making
- Big touch when in space/small touches when it’s tight
- Use both feet
- Change of pace
- Pass when there is space

Session Organisation
Half Pitch; 9v9. 60 Yds x 55 Yds. With a 5yd central free zone and 2 x 8yd side zones for floating players only.
Detail
3v3+2 floating players on 2 touch condition in each attacking half. 1 Attacking striker can drop into central zone area unapossed to receive and select options. shoot, play into wide play, combination 1-2 etc. progression, allow side floating players to engage in 1v1 situations etc.

Work on Receiving skills, dealing with the ball under pressure, passing and keeping possession and using the ball effectively. shots and headers on target.
Tactical.
Individual rolls and resposibilities. When to drop off and pull away to create space, link up play and movement with and without the ball.

Develop Aerobic and Anaerobic capabilities of players. Game specific work.
Psychological.
Test the ability to work under pressure, scenario

60x40 play area + 2 10x40 target free zones. Play 5v5; 6v6 + 1 floater.
Detail
High intensive session. Team in possession to score need to recieve from team player in a target zone and pass the ball into the opposite target team player, the final pass must be made inside the final 20yd zoned area. Target player receives the ball unopposed and runs the ball back into play.Player who made the pass becomes the zonal target player Floating player can only combine with team in possession and not swope positions with target zone player.
