- #8W/R passes into #5B/Y.
- #5B/Y takes a touch and delivers a long aerial pass over the defenders.
- W/R #3, #4, #5 should be side on and ready to drop in to cover the space.
Coaching Points:
- Read the play and assess the ball carrier's body position.
- If shaping to play long ball, make sure to be side on and ready to drop to protect the space behind.
- Get to ball quickly and look to play out.

1- Wide pass
Organization:
- 1/2 pitch (~50x40yds) with "No play zone" (gray area) on one side. No Players can enter this zone.
- White/red team (Defending team) play 3-3 formation.
- Blue/yellow (Attacking team) play 1-3-2 formation.
- Target 1 (T1) acts as a target player for white/red and can move anywhere behind highest set of red cones. T1 is a target for the defending players to attempt to play to when they regain possession. They are also a supporting player that blue/yellow (Attacking team) can use to help maintain possession.
Instructions:
- #8W/R plays a mishit pass through to T1 and it is intercepted by #5B/Y.
- #5B/Y passes into #7B/Y.
- #3W/R steps forward to press #7B/Y.
Coaching Points:
- Drop and pinch on lost possession.
- Start to "cheat" upon recognition ball is going wide. Can you win the ball outright? If yes, GO! If not...
- Close quickly and show attacker to sideline (or inside if pacey or to weaker foot).
- Delay, look to tackle as attacker gets within scoring distance.
