Organization:
Two teams line up using the entire court, on which cones are used to mark out ‘goals’. There must be more ‘goals’ than players in a team. A team scores if they take the ball through one of the ‘goals’. Defenders do not steal the ball. Defenders look to anticipate where the attack is going to score and beat them to the gate.
Coaching Objectives:
Ensure players are creative, dribbling and changing directions to lose the defenders. Defenders should anticipate the path of the attacker.
Coaching Tips:
Shots should always be at the far post to create a secondary scoring opportunity if a shot is missed or saved. The coach should lay the ball close to his/her position to speed up the shot and add additional challenge for the keeper.
Less Challenging: Add more gates. Remove all the balls.
More Challenging: Remove gates; shrink the space.

Organization:
In the 10x20m zones, play a 1v1. Blue will pass across the zone for Grey to receive and then dribble to attack Blue. Goals are rewarded by dribbling across the opposite end line. Any ball that goes out on the side lines indicates the round is over. Rotate attackers and defenders every 2 minutes.
Coaching Objectives:
Encourage attackers to use the skills that they learned the previous exercises or come up with skills of their own. To do this they must think ahead. Defenders must be sideways on and taught to be patient. Defenders cannot jump or stab. Poke tackles, block tackles, or stepping on the ball needs to be emphasized.
Coaching Tips:
Attackers- be confident when dribbling, the ball should be in the middle of their body, there must be a change of pace following a SKILL.
Defenders- proper body position, patient defending, anticipate the attackers performing a skill, be prepared to go BACKWARDS.
Less Challenging: Remove the ball and add a penny in the waistband.
More Challenging: Shrink the space so the attack has less room to the beat the defender.

Organization:
In the 10x20m zones, play a 1v1 (with one player outside the zone) where the attacker tries to receive the ball from that player. Whenever the ball goes out of play, it must be played back in by the player outside the zone. The objective for the attacker is to get
to the opposite line from which the ball was delivered, while controlling the ball. The defender must try to prevent the attacker
from receiving the ball, or if they do receive it, to prevent them from advancing to the other side of the zone. If the defender
regains the ball, they must pass it to the player outside of the zone, in order to become the attacker and try to receive the pass.
Coaching Objectives:
Ensure that players are being creative when attacking in the 1v1, and encourage defenders to be patient when defending in 1v1 situations.
Coaching Tips:
Defenders should be arms length away from the attacker. Attackers should try to keep the ball in the middle of their body as long as possible to allow themselves to attack in either direction.
Less Challenging: Do not allow the defender to press until the attacker is already turned.
More Challenging: Shrink the space so the attack has less room to the beat the defender.

Skill Moves to Beat a Defender (10 mins)
Organization:
Create a 16x8 square with players evenly divided across from each other. The first player in each line dribbles to the center and performs a specific skill to get to the other side of the square. When players exit the grid they are to join the back of the opposite line.
Coaching Objectives:
Demonstrate several different skills to beat defenders. These skills may vary from simple to complex. This exercise is designed to encourage attackers to be confident when dribbling at defenders and encourage attackers to be creative.
Coaching Tips:
Demand a change of pace after the skill and that player drops their shoulders to mimic losing a defender. Players waiting in the lines should perform either a ball mastery task or a physio motor task.
Less Challenging: Remove balls.
More Challenging: Add a time limit to force players to perform the skills faster.
