2 vs 2's

Focus + Session design

• pitch size 14 x 18
• 2 vs 2 + 2 (2 off resting)
• 2 yellow players are neutral and stay in-between the 2 mini goals throughout (max 2 touch)
•  2 white players are resting, helping retrieve footballs. (DONT BE THE RESTING PLAYERS)
•  4 x 4 minute blocks (change neutral players every block)
•  concede a goal and you're off, resting players quickly enter the pitch and start with possession from neutral player.
•  short, sharp fitness work. Should be competitive and intense
  

Coaching detail

•  quick combinations (limit touches)
•  work together in and out of possession - communication. IN: always be a passing option, movement, make pitch big, move opposition about, ball detail, work hard to keep possession and score. OUT: communication at all times, one press, one cover, not shots at all costs, bodies on the line, dominate 1 vs 1's, counter pressing must be fast and aggressive.

Progressions/Regressions

•  limit to 2 touch, then one touch
• neutral players on 1 touch
•  if increased rest is needed or to increase flow play first to 3 goals or first to 5. 
•  league system to add further competitive edge.
  

Individual challenges

•  dominate 1 v 1's
•  top goalscorer 
•  forfeit for team or individual scoring the least or least amount of points.
