Main Moment - Ball Possession 

Key Principle - Get the ball and our players into goalscoring positions 

What -  Trying to breakdown an organized opponent defending deep in their defensive third 

Who - our #10 #7 and #11 supported by #9 #6 and #8 

When - when the opposition is defending deep in their defensive third and we are in possession 

Where - In the opponent's defensive third 

Why - because the opponent is trying to make it difficult to break them down and create a goalscoring opportunity 

Session objective/Team Task - Are we able to get our #7 and #11 in a position where they can play a drilled ball in the box 

Player Tasks

#9 Can we be in a position where we can see the ball and the goal at the same time 

#10 Are we able to go into a position where #7 and #11 Can play you                                    When #7 and #11 are in possession of the ball 

#7 and #11 Can you go into a position where you can receive the ball with time and space                    When Brock and Sam are in Possession (touchline wide) 

#10 and #9 Can you attack the space between the fullback and the centreback                                     As their fullback goes to press our #7 and #11  

#10 are you able to go into a position where you can play a 1st time pass into #9                              When Brock and Sam are in Possession 

#6 and #8 Can you go into a position where our forward players Can go backwards to attract the opposition out of their shape                         When opponent has shifted to the active defensive area 

#7 and #11 Can you go into a position where David can play you with his first touch                                                      As the ball is played into David 

#10 and #9 Can you go into a position where #7 and #11 can play you with their first touch 

#7 and #11 Are you able to take the fullback 1 on 1 and get beyond him                                                 When fullback is isolated
