2v1 - 1st Touch Turn

THE SESSION:

• Red player passes to red teammate
• Blue defender provides contact (arm on shoulder) 
• Red scans behind them and turns with their first touch in the direction away from defender 
  • Red will scan behind, if Blue hand is on left shoulder, then Red will take first touch to the right 
• Red dribbles through cones on the side he chose (ex. right), then dribbles across through the other cones (ex. left)
• Other Red runs through the opposite cones 
• Red engages in a 2v1 

PROGRESSIONS:

• red with back to goal can pass the ball back and create an angle
• red practices what to do when they turn into pressure

KEY MESSAGES/POINTS:

• Scan behind you before receiving the ball
• Turn with one touch
• Get ball out of your feet 
• Dribbling and changing directions at pace
• Finishing after dribbling
