Organization: Game can be played in one direction or if numbers are large then in a rotational fashion as above.
Instructions: Player A plays to Player B. Player A moves to the left or right. Player B takes a touch and plays the ball back to Player A. Player B now bends his run around the cones (t the opposite side that Player A is) and Player A plays a pass towards goal for Player B to get on to. Player B takes a positive touch towards goal and shoots.
Rotation is Player A to Player B, Player B to Player C and Player C to the back of the opposite line.
Coaching Points:
1) Weight of pass and timing of run.
2) First touch sets player up for pass (angle of approach, out from under feet etc)
3) Explain why runners peels to opposite side instead of same side.
4) Can passers bend their pass at all around the cones into the run of the striker?
5) Can receiver take ball on back foot and take a positive touch towards goal?
6) Open body position to receive towards goal to see options ahead of striker.
7) Can striker check over their shoulder before receiveing ball towards goal?
8) Touch on final shot.
Progressions: Add a defender after the cones (area must be big enough to allow for this).
